Letter of blessing for a “Shana Tova u’Metuka” from the Rayatz of Lubavitch, with handwritten signature using a yud in Assyrian script. Erev Rosh Hashanah 1949
Letter by the Admor Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak Schneerson, the Rayatz, typewritten on official letterhead, with blessings for the recipient on Erev Rosh Hashanah for a ketiva and chatima tovah. The signature is especially interesting because the yud of his second name uses Assyrian script, which he only really started doing in the last year of his life. Folding creases, light tear at the top of the page not hitting the text. The Rayatz, Admor Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak Schneerson of Lubavitch, was the 6th Rebbe of Chabad (12th Tammuz/21st June 1880 – 10th Shvat/28th January 1950).
