Rybchenkov Boris Fyodorovich (1899, Smolensk – 1994, Moscow).
Studied in the Kiev Art College (1915-1918); since 1920 – in the Academy of Arts, under N.I. Altman and A.T. Matveev; in 1921-25 – in the VKhUTEMAS under A.D. Drevin, N.A. Udaltsova, L.S. Popova, A.V. Shevchenko. In the years of the Civil War he worked as an artist in the Political Department of the Western Front. First exhibited in 1918. He was a member and an exhibitor of Artists of Revolutional Russia Association (1925-28), Russian Society of Easel Painters (1929-1930), Group of 13 (1929-1931). Participated in many All-Union art exhibitions. In 1919 he taught in the Proletkult Studio in Smolensk, in 1918-1926 on several occasions acted as a designer of city festivals. He widely traveled in the Soviet Union, worked in Uzbekistan. The main theme of his work is cityscape. His works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, State Russian Museum.
