ALFRED ZERBEL
(1904 – 1987) German general who served as chief of staff of the 299th Infantry Division and Army Group Centre on the Eastern Front. . He received the Silver German Cross in February 1945. At the end of the war, he led a Kampfgruppe of the 11th Panzer Division. Pair of signed items, includes an S.P., 4 x 6 in. b/w in Bundeswehr uniform, along with a T.L.S. as 'Inspekteur des Heeres', 1p. 4to., Bonn, Aug. 20, 1960, sending the photo and friendly greetings. Fine.
