(1897 - 1985) German general of artillery, Chief of Staff of the LIV. Army Corps and the 18th Army, later commanding the 28th Jager Div. A Knights Cross recipient. A.L.S., 2pp. 8vo., Munich, Mar. 1, 1960 in German. In part: '...to show you that I have not forgotten you, please allow me to present you with some personal items. The images are war date. My general of the artillery epaulette, two oak leaves of my Jaegerdivision...the Krim shield...at the time I was commander of the general staff of a corps which took Sevastopol...there is an EKI from World War I and the clasp to the EKI from World War II.
