HEINRICH HIMMLER
(1900 - 1945) Hitler's Chief of the Gestapo placed in charge of security and responsible for the construction and operation of extermination camps. He chose suicide rather than face a hangman's noose at Nuremberg. War-date D.S., 4pp. large 4to., Berlin, Oct. 24, 1944, a promotion of Karl Heizmann to the rank of 'Oberstleutnant der Schutzpolizei'. Within, the document includes Heizmann's biographical details, previous postings and ranks, military service, etc. Marginal file holes, else fine.
