HERMANN ESSER
(1900 - 1981) Very early member of the Nazi Party. A journalist, Esser was the editor of the Nazi paper, 'Volkischer Beobachter', and a Nazi member of the Reichstag, besides being a de facto deputy of Adolf Hitler. T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Munich, May 25, 1935, to a high-ranking school director, transmitting a statement of greeting for a trip to Hungary undertaken by the Munich 'Lehrergesangvereins' ('teacher's singing club') and the Reich Symphony Orchestra. He signs at the conclusion in pink indelible pencil. The resulting statement, 1p. 4to., is present, signed at the conclusion by an unidentified individual, along with a copy of the letter to Esser requesting the statement. Shows folds, with file holes at the left edge, else very good.
