PAUL EWALD VON KLEIST
(1881 - 1954) German military officer, the top Panzer commander in the German Army and superior to Guderian and Hoth, invaded France and later the Ukraine where he was captured by the Russians. S.P. 3.75 x 4.25 in. b/w, a Hoffmann image of Kleist seated in uniform with his Knights Cross about his neck, signed in pencil with poor contrast but otherwise fine.
