GERMAN 'VOLUNTEER FOR THE WEHRMACHT' POSTER
Scarce, early Wehrmacht induction poster, 28 x 38 in., printed by R. M. Rohrer in Brunn. The ca. 1938-early 1939 poster depicts a Wehrmacht soldier calling volunteers to serve with his bugle, with large black text reading: 'Volunteer for the Wehrmacht!' The lengthy text states that all healthy German men are being sought for recruitment in Bohemia-Moravia, born between 1914 and 1920, also setting forth where they may enlist. It also notes that those accepted into the army may not thereafter join the Waffen-SS or police. At bottom, large red text reads: 'Germans sign up!'. Linen-backed. Fine condition.
