(CHINA) 'CELEBRATING THE REVOLUTIONARY COMMITTEE ESTABLISHED IN INNER MONGOLIA'
Large and visually striking Chinese political poster, 'Celebrating the Revolutionary Committee Established in Inner Mongolia', printed in 1967, 31.5 x 20.5 in., a block-printed scene in red and black, depicting three Red Guards - student revolutionaries - bearing a large sign reading 'Revolutionary Committee'. One man wears an armband reading 'Red Rebel Group', while a second brandishes a copy of the 'Quotations of Chairman Mao'. A large crowd in the background similarly holds up flags and books. The title of the piece is printed in white Chinese characters on a red field at the bottom of the image. Vertical folds, small vertical tears at the bottom edge, repaired on the verso with archival tape, else very good. From a single collection obtained entirely in China pre-2000.
