CHINESE SILK PORTRAITS OF 'THE FIVE GREATS'
Scarce set of five Chinese woven silk portraits of important communist ideologues and leaders. The portraits, woven on a jacquard loom and intended for sale in 'hard currency' stores in China, each measure 20 x 31 in. overall and exhibit excellent detail. Included in the set are Mao Zedong, Vladimir Lenin, Josef Stalin, Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx, commonly referred to as 'The Five Greats'. Fine.
