DAG HAMMARSKJOLD
(1905 - 1961) Swedish diplomat and Secretary-General of the United Nations. Died under mysterious circumstances in a Congo air mishap. He was awarded, posthumously, the 1961 Nobel Peace Prize. S.P., 5 x 7 in. b/w, a fine portrait nicely signed in green ink. WITH: JOSE MAZA FERNANDEZ (1889– 1964), Chilean President of the UN General Assembly during its tenth session from 1954 to 1955. I.S.P., 8 x 10 in. b/w, surface creases and wrinkles. Two pieces.
