EAMON DE VALERA
(1882 - 1975) Irish political leader, leader of the introduction of the Constitution of Ireland, president of Sinn Fein, Prime Minister and President of Ireland. Glossy S.P., 6.5 x 8.5 in. b/w, a bust portrait of Valera in a suit, signed at lower-right in white ink. The verso bears a 'press photo' ink stamp. Light crease at bottom-left corner, else fine. Sold with a forwarding letter from his presidential secretary, 1p. 8vo., Feb. 8, 1960, thanking the recipient for sending a gift and enclosing the signed photograph.
