PARTIAL FILE OF STALINGRAD NKVD MILITIAMAN
Content-rich partial file of NKVD militiaman Georgy Vasilyevich Krylov, 8pp. 4to., who notably began his service in 1945 within the Stalingrad district. The file contains his biography, list of decorations, details about his family and militia service, as well as two chest-up portraits of Krylov in uniform, attached to the top corners with paper clips. Perhaps most importantly, however, is Krylov's oath of secrecy - docketed number '10' in blue indelible pencil - bearing an affirmation to 'keep secrets about the 'work of workers and Peasants' Militia' and a promise to keep information 'even from the closest family and friends'. Krylov signs beneath this in blue ink, adding the date 'Nov. 15, 1945'. Uneven left edge, else very good to fine condition.
