Weight = 61,4 g. Bow with the certificate of authenticity.
Information:
Son of famous bow maker François Peccatte and a nephew of Dominique Peccatte. After his father's death, began his apprenticeship in 1862 with his step-father Auguste Lenoble. In 1865 started to work at "JB Vuillaume" company, where worked with the guidance of François Nicolas Voirin. François Peccatte made imitations of Vuillaume's bows. In 1885 was honored with silver medal in Exhibition in Antwerpen. Bows of this period labeled "Peccatte" and were with good materials and strong heads as other Peccatte family's bows. Since 1900 he employed several assistants including Eugène Sartory, whose early works was made by François Peccatte' influence.
