Three Proclamations for Contributing to the Jewish National Fund and a Handwritten Letter by Rabbi Meshulam Rath and the Rabbis of Romania
Rabbi Meshulam Rath (1875-1963) was a great rabbi, Dayan and Moreh Halacha in Romania and later in Israel. He was a Dayan of Beit Ha'Din Ha'Rabbani Ha'Gadol and a member of the Chief Rabbinate. The author of the "Kol Mevaser" Responsa.
Rabbi Meshulam Rath was overjoyed when the State was founded and in his book "Kol Mevaser" wrote that the event must be celebrated as a Yom Tov and Hallel should be said. The greatest Poskim of our generation relied on this Psika of his.
His support of Zionism and the Jewish National Fund is demonstrated in the proclamations before us.
A. Handwritten letter by Meshulam Rath while he was staying with Rabbi Moshe Tertner in Gedera to an acquaintance from Beni Berak.
B. Two printed proclamations from the thirties in Hebrew and Yiddish calling the Jews of Romania to donate money to the Jewish National Fund. The proclamations are signed by Rabbi Niemirower, who served as the Chief Rabbi of Romania and Rabbi Mark, who served as the Chief Rabbi of Tschernowitz.

Condition: Very Good.
C. Printed proclamation to the Jews of Tschernowitz from November 1939, signed by Rabbi Rath, who served as Av Beit Din of Tschernowitz and Rabbi Mark. The rabbis write about the duty to act for the settlement of Israel and to donate to the Jewish National Fund. The proclamation was printed a short while after World War II.
