a. The Lebanon, Eliahu Epstein (Elath), Jerusalem 1943.
A booklet published by the Jewish Agency to Israel, printed in stencil.
This rare booklet brings a very extensive demographic-politic overview of the country of Lebanon. On the front cover is written that the booklet is categorized as an "internal" document, seemingly because it contains very extensive information which comes from Muslim and Arab groups inside Lebanon itself.
The booklet was written by Eliahu Epstein (Elath), (1903-1990), who served as Israel's first ambassador to America, and was the chairman of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
38 pages.
Extremely interesting booklet! Not found in libraries in Israel. In the catalogue of the National Library it is noted that the only copy of this booklet was lost from the library.
Condition: good – very good, the last page is detached from the booklet.
b. Yalkut HaMizrach HaTichon (The Middle East Anthology) – no. 43, Dr S. Hareli, Jerusalem 1940.
A booklet published by the Jewish Agency, one of a series of booklets which were published monthly between the years 1935 – 1951.
This booklet deals with the areas at war in the Middle East at that time.
On the cover is a map of the Middle East, and inside are additional maps.

Condition: very good.
c. The Moslem World and the Arab World, Yitzchak Ben-Zvi, Jerusalem 1937.
The booklet deals with the Arab and Moslem world which surrounds Palestine, and brings statistics and information. A map of the area of the Middle East appears on the first page of the booklet.
The booklet was written in English by Yitzchak Ben-Zvi (1884 – 1963), later the second President of the State of Israel.

The booklet was written in English, and deals with the relationship between Great Britain and the Arab world. The booklet was written by Albert Haviv Hourani (1915-1933), the well-known British historian, one of the most knowledgeable researchers of the history of the Middle East.

e. Three issues of the journal 'Information Service', Elizabeth Maclowm, New York 1929.
Three issues in English which deal expansively with topics connected to the Middle East, to the agreements which were signed after the First World War and their effect on the Middle East, and on the Arab-Jewish conflict in Palestine.
Not found in any library in Israel. Extremely rare!

f. The Work of the Middle East Supply Centre During the European War, Cairo 1945.
Published by the Middle East Supply Centre (M.E.S.C) in Cairo.
The booklet details the work of the Centre, which was established by the Allies in order to regulate and aid the economy in the areas of the Middle East which were under their control. The Centre did indeed fulfill its aim and was instrumental in developing the economy of the area during the war and afterwards.

A booklet published by the Department of Foreign Trade in England. Written by the British Consul to Beirut.
The booklet brings an extensive general overview of Syria at that time.

An extensive outline of the planned restoration after the end of the war.
The booklet was written by Alfred Bonne (1899-1959) from the Department of Statistics in the Jewish Agency.
