Memorial booklet for Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, with an original page in his handwriting - preparation for writing dictionary entries - dedicated and signed by his wife and son
Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, a file in his memory, edited by Dr. Yosef Klausner. Published by HaSolel, Jerusalem, "7th year of the Balfour Declaration" [1924].
A commemorative booklet printed on the one-year anniversary of the death of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, with articles by his students Yosef Klausner, David Yudilovich, Aharon Meir Mazia and others. ) With preparation lists for four new words in the dictionary: "Mashuva", "Mishot", "Mashusa" and "Mishnah".
On the back of the title page is a handwritten dedication: "To Aryeh Alzenzbacher, a member of the military band of the Carmel Brigade of the Israel Army, in memory of being in the house of our language, Talpiot, Jerusalem, Tammuz, first year of the State of Israel, " Balfour Declaration [1948] ", Signed by the wife of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, Hemda, and his son Ehud.
The recipient of the dedication is the singer Arik Lavie (born Leo Alexander Inelsbacher), who was a member of the "Carmel Band" during the War of Independence.
Attached: A leaflet from the "Emunim Foundation in Memory of Eliezer Ben Yehuda", which calls for contributing to the completion of the missing volumes in the Ben Yehuda Dictionary (dated "7th year of the Balfour Declaration" - 1924, the year of publication of the booklet).
