The closure, or „cadenas” in French, is a powerful symbol of the union and alliance of two families or people. Legend has it that the Duke or Duchess of Windsor originally suggested this concept for the watch. Since then, the watch was a permanent feature in Van Cleef & Arpels' wristwatch collections. The wristwatch is new, with the original protective foils attached.
