The family name Sylvester is a whole dynasty of engravers and painters, probably originating from Israel Sylvester of Paris, who received the privilege of printing engravings in Antwerp in 1546. Most likely mentioned is Israel Silvestre the Younger (FR. Israël Silvestre; August 13, 1621, Nancy — October 11, 1691, Paris) — French painter and graphic artist.
In the 1640s and 1650s, as a result of his numerous trips to various French provinces, he wrote several books, illustrating them with copper engravings. The artist also made a trip to Italy, where he studied paintings by old masters. In 1662, he was appointed court painter and engraver of the French king Louis XIV and then lived with his family at court, in the Louvre.

Bourbon-l’Archambault (French: Bourbon-l'archambault) is a commune in the Auvergne region of France. Department of the commune — Allier. The administrative center of the Canton of Bourbon is l'archambault. District of the commune of Moulins.
The town of Bourbon-l'archambault went down in history as the cradle of the Royal family of Bourbons, who ruled France in the XVI-XIX centuries. In the X century, the first wooden castle appeared here. in the XII century, a stone fortress was built in its place, which over a century turned into a powerful defensive structure with 15 towers.
To this day, only the ruins of the flaming Gothic splendor of the Bourbon castle have survived.]
