A German edition of the research book Picturesque Palestine, which was first published in English in 1880, edited by Charles Wilson.
The book is a comprehensive guide to the Land of Israel, written by expert researchers. Accompanied by many illustrations in the body of the text which show the scenery of Israel, the natives' dress and customs and more, and 40 engraved plates, amongst them three large, colorful maps of Jerusalem, the Land of Israel, Sina and Egypt.
