Three Important Booklets about the British mandate as Preparation for the Revival of the Jewish Nation in Its Land
A. Heads of scheme for the provisional government of Palestine. London, 1920.
Printed with the end of the British Military Rule (which had begun in 1917) and the beginning of the British Mandate which began with the arrival of Herbert Samuel, the High Commissioner of Palestine. The text is written in Hebrew and English, column by column.
A similar, yet different, booklet was printed a year earlier in Jaffa. The booklet before us is rarer and is not listed by the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book.
The booklet was most likely edited by the legal academic Norman Bentwich.
