A. Photograph of the opening session of the congress. Geneva, 1939. Stamp of a photographer from Tel Aviv: "Lasar Dunner".
In the photograph, the attenders are standing during "A Moment of Silence in memory of the missing". The congress had started several weeks before the Nazis invaded Poland and after they had begun taking anti-Semite steps against Jews.
The photograph depicts the Zionist representatives. Chaim Weizmann, the head of the Zionist Federation, can be seen at the center.
