A. Bereavement notice for Chaim Nachman Bialik, Va'ad Ha'Kehila in Haifa, 16.7.1934.
In the notice the Va'ad announces that businesses and work should be abstained and places of entertainment are not to open on the day of the funeral.
The announcement to abstain from all business and work, as is customary in Jewish tradition with the death of a great man, was meant to symbolize general, national mourning in honor of Bialik.
B. Bereavement notice for the baron Binyamin [Edmund] Rothschild, Va'ad Ha'Kehila in Haifa, 27th of Cheshvan 1934.
In the notice, the Va'ad announces, on behalf of the Chief Rabbinate, that business and work should be abstained during the hours 12:00-14:00.
Baron Rothschild is called in the notice "Avi Ha'Yishuv" (father of the Yishuv).
Condition: Very Good. Folding Marks.
