Handwritten dedication by Company 554 to G. Agronsky.
A typewritten letter to Mr. G. Agronsky, the editor of the "Palestine Post" is added to the book. The letter describes the difficulties encountered in publishing the book and a request to distribute the book among the technicians of the Yeshuv.
The letter is signed by hand by the captain of the company.
The book was published in the height of the war by the Mechanical & Electrical Company 554, which operated in Egypt and the Western Desert, there it was responsible for operating the water-supply system that was built by the British.
At the beginning of 1946, the company arrived in South Italy, where it worked in maintaining electric and water facilities. The company was disbanded in 1946.
