Hassidic Sefer Segulah for preventing fire and pests. First edition! Ma'amar Mordechai on the Torah and Holidays by the Holy Rabbi Mordechai Leitner of Drohovich. First edition. Lemberg, [1877].


The Sefer was approbated by Gedolei HaDor, the Holy Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac of Zidichov praises it and describes the love of his uncle and Rav Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Zidichov who said of him "together we shall share a secret". There is also a wonderful approbation by the Holy Rabbi of Komorna, of Kosov, the Yitav lev. The hOly Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura and the Holy rabbi David Moshe of Chertkov.

At the beginning of the book, a lengthy introduction by the author's son who notes that the Sefer is known as a Segulah and protection against fire and other Marin Bishin and the manuscript of the Sefer has already saved from a fire. In the body ofthe book, Kabbalistic matters between Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Zidichov and the author, Kabbalistic commentary on the Or HaChaim Hakadosh on Parashat Acharei Mot. 

The Holy Rabbi Mordechai Leitner of Drohovich, a disciple of the Holy Rabbi the Chozeh of Lublin and the Holy Rabbi the Maggid of Koznitz and a leading disciple of the Holy Rabbi of Zidichov, as written in the apprabation. For dozens of years he was the leader of a large community of Hassidim in Drohovich. His wonderous and terrible passing was published as a great Kiddush Hashem,   all the residents of the town being witnesses to it, when he went to immerse himself in the Mikveh and then purely returning his soul to his Creator.

[4], 112 leaves. With the list of subscribers lengthy leaf which is missing from many copies. Stains. Slightly fragile leaves. The binding is falling apart in its front. Good condition.
