Rare: Hishtapchut HaNefesh, a prayer for the beginning of Yom Kippur—only edition, Jerusalem 1907
“For erev Yom Kippur with the sunset before it gets dark, in order to purify oneself before Hashem at the coming of the great and wondrous day…”. By Rabbeinu Yaakov Zvi Mecklenburg (c.1785 – 1865), a sage in his generation and an important German rabbi, author of the Ktav v’haKabbalah on the Torah and a leader of those fighting the Reform movement. Only edition, rare, brought to the publisher by Rabbi Avraham Aharon Levia and printed by Sehenbaum and Weiss, Jerusalem 1907. 4 leaves. No binding, light tears in the margins. Overall good condition.
