Letter signed by Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum Twersky of Rachmastrivka. Jerusalem 1932

Letter on official letterhead of the Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum ben Rav Yochanan, Jerusalem, Me’ah She’arim”. A typewritten letter with handwritten additions, with a signature at the end, dated 1932. Addressed to “Ish Emunim Zvi Kalisher”, in which the Rebbe notifies him that he received the pidyon “and I bless him that he will have Hashem’s blessing as well” and he continues effusively regarding the brachot that he wished to pass along to him. He ends with his handwritten signature and his official stamp. Stains, folding creases, overall good condition.

Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum Twersky of Rachmastrivka (1843-1936) was the son of Admor Rabbi Yochanan of Rachmastrivka, son-in-law of Rabbi Zeev Auerbach (grandson of Rabbi David of Chmelnik, student of the Baal Shem Tov), and in his second marriage son-in-law of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Hornstein of Berdichev. He served as Admor of Rachmastrivka alongside his brother, Rabbi Mordechai, and together with his brother Rabbi Zeev afterward. He moved to Jerusalem in 1924. His son-in-law was Rabbi Haim Moshe of Hornisteipol. His sons were Rabbi David and Rabbi Avraham Dov, who succeeded him in Jerusalem, and his grandson (son of Rabbi David) is Admor Rabbi Yochanan of Jerusalem.
