Letter handwritten and signed by Admor Rabbi Zushele of Chernobyl, with blessings for “health, plenty, blessings, success, and Redemption”. Bnei Brak, 1975.

Letter handwritten and signed on official letterhead by the Admor Rabbi Meshulam Zusya Twersky of Chernobyl, from the 10th of Iyar 1975, addressed to rabbis leading the Ezrat Torah organization in New York, thanking them for their help over Pesach: “I received the check for the sum of 150 Israeli lira from the Rahatz of Zishnov Rabbi Rubin Halberstam, I wish to thank the rabbis and bless them and pray that thanks to this great mitzvah may they be blessed with health, plenty, blessings, success, and Redemption”, and he ends with his signature. Size: 28x18cm. Light stains, folding creases, envelope, overall good condition.


Admor Rabbi Meshulam Zusya Twersky (1910-1988) was the son of Rabbi Haim Yitzhak. On his mother’s side he was the great-grandson of the Divrei Haim of Sanz. He was Admor of Liev-Chernobyl, and after the Shoah he operated from Jerusalem, and in 1959 he moved to Bnei Brak, where he established his chatzer on Ra’avad Street. He sons are his successors around the world, and his eldest son Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum Twersky continues to run his chatzer from Bnei Brak. His sons-in-law include the Admorim of Kretschenif, Jerusalem, Vizhnitz, Bnei Brak.
