The Air Force Journal, is a magazine for Israeli aviation issues, and is the official magazine of the Israeli Air Force.   

The magazine contained news from the corps bases, stories of heroism and a section of soldiers' letters. It was edited by its founder Moshe Hadar (Pumi).

The Yom Kippur War (also called the Yom Kippur War; the Yom Kippur War; in Arabic: حرب تيرين, transliteration: برب تأكرين or حرب أكتوبر - ְرب כתتوبر: "October War" and حرب رمضان Yom Kippur, October 6, 1973, in a coalition attack by Arab armies against Israel, led by Syria and Egypt, supported by shipping forces from Arab countries, mainly from Iraq and Jordan. The war took place mainly in Sinai and the Golan Heights, and lasted until October 24, 1973. The ceasefire lasted until October 26 on the Egyptian front in Sinai and until May 1974 on the Syrian front in the Golan Heights at the end of the war of attrition in the Syrian enclave.
