FRENCH SCHOOL, 18th CENTURY
Alexander and the family of Darius
Tempera on parchment (or paper?), cm. 12,5x19,2. Gilded bronze frame, Bulgari manifacturing. On the back engraved brand: "BVLGARI ROMA".
Copy of the famous masterpiece by Charles Lebrun executed in 1660-61 for Louis XIV and today at the Museé National du Château in Versailles.
PROVENANCE: Private collection, Rome.
