Sefer Beit Hillel on Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah and Even HaEzer by Rabbi Hillel b"r Naftali Hertz. Printed at the press of Rabbi Shabtai Meshorrer Bass, author of Siftei Chachamim.

With the Shulchan Aruch text and an additional title page for the Even HaEzer section. One of the fundamental books for study of Shulchan Aruch.

The author, Rabbi Hillel ben R' Naftali Hertz [1615-1691] studied Torah with his uncle, the Rebbe R' Herschel of Krakow. He served as a dayan in the beit din of Rabbi Moshe Lima, author of Chelkat Mechokek, and c. 1670 he moved to Hamburg to serve as rabbi there. The Sha"ch, Rabbi Shabsi HaKohen, replaced him at the beit din. Rabbi Hertz then moved on to Zolkiew, where he served as rabbi until his passing.
