Pamphlet of articles from 1922, given by the Rebbe inside the original plastic packaging in which the Rebbe gave it to the Chief Rabbi of Haifa, Rabbi Shaar Yishuv Kohen—first edition, 1992.

Pamphlet of articles from the Rayatz, “Ma’amarim 1922”, first edition, New York 1992. Inside a special plastic packaging in which the pamphlet was given by the Rebbe. From the estate of the Haifa Chief Rabbi Shaar Yishuv Kohen (the booklet ‘Mazkeret Netzach’, [New York 2011, p. 68] partially describes the following handing out of the pamphlet, and notes there: “The Rebbe smiled at Rabbi Shaar Yishuv HaKohen, Rabbi of Haifa”). Dust stains on the plastic packaging. Overall very good condition.

“Just before the Yom HaBahir 10th of Shvat, there came into the hands of the Otzer HaChassidim editorial board several articles by the Rebbe the Admor HaRayatz, which were said about seventy years ago in 1922, and had not yet been published. The Rebbe ordered them published in a special pamphlet to be handed out on the Yom HaBahir. On the night before after Maariv, the Rebbe gave out these pamphlets to men and children. At this setting the Rebbe gave out around 7,000 copies.” Description of the pamphlet: It is called the “Pamphlet of Ma’amarim 1922” and includes three articles from early 1922 found recently in manuscript. They are accompanied by notes and marei mekomot. They are “LeDavid Mizmor”, from the 2nd day of Rosh Hashanah; “Shir HaMaalot MiMaamakim” from Shabbat Tshuva”, “KeNesher Yair Kino”—Shabbat Parshat He’ezinu. At the beginning of the pamphlet is a pictures of the Rayatz. At the end is a facsimile of an antique manuscript, and a biography of the Admor. It was given in a plastic packaging together with two dollar bills for tzedakah. The pamphlet was red in color and contains around 50 pages. The first page carried the date: “Motzei Shabbat Parshat Bo”. See: Mazkeret Netzach by students of the central Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch yeshiva. New York 2011.
