Letter from the Rebbe in Yiddish with blessings for health, signed by the secretary. Av, 1959.
Typewritten letter on official letterhead from the 12th of Av, 1959, in which the Rebbe writes (free translation): “it is understood, also from what I wrote to your husband, shlita [the word is emphasized in his handwriting], that it was proper that the wedding took place at the time they set for it…one must be strong in one’s belief in Hashem who remedies all mankind and performs wonders, that he will act with witnessed goodness, naturally and via special remedies, or that Hashem will help supernaturally. With blessings for besorot tovot in all that has been said.” The letter was signed by the secretary Rabbi Eliyahu Quint “in the name of the Admor shlita”. As is well-known, many letters were signed in the name of the secretaries but were actually signed by the Rebbe himself.
