A false statement by Irma Horowitz (Rau) that she is not Jewish. Leipzig 1933
An official statement page in which Irma Horowitz declares that she is not Jewish, and that her ancestors are not Jews, as part of an attempt to escape the clutches of the Nazis. Breslau 1933.
It is written in detail that no circumstances are known that can justify the assumption that she is not of Aryan descent, and that in particular neither side of her grandparents belongs to the Jewish religion, and that "I am exposed to criminal law if my declaration is false, and even punishable by death".
Horowitz, a native of Breslau, the wife of lawyer Arthur Rao, managed to escape before the outbreak of World War II, and immigrated to Eretz Israel. Attached is her certificate of citizenship in Eretz Israel on behalf of the Palestinian government dated 16 Sivan 1938. as well as her teaching training certificate from the Hebrew Language School and Literature in Lipsia 1927.
