Divrei Avraham on the Torah, by Rabbi Chaim Avraham Ernstein. Pertfeld, 1907. First edition with the approvals of the greatest rebbe - the copy of Rabbi Simcha Halevi Soloveitchik - the youngest son of Marna Rabbi Yosef Dov Halevi Soloveitchik, owner of Beit Halevi.


The Gaon Rabbi Simcha Halevi Soloveitchik [1879-1941] - was born in Warsaw to Rabbi Yosef Dov and Esther Beila, the third wife of Rabbi Yosef Dov. Served as Mohilev great Rabbi between the years 1911 - 1924. At the same time, he gave lessons at a yeshiva in Shklov, headed by Rabbi Pesach Fruskin. In 1924 he emigrated to the United States and served as rabbi of the "Tiferet Yisrael - Brisk People" congregation of Brisk descendants in Brooklyn, New York. He also served as head of the Rabbinical Association. Died in New York on November 16, 1941. His son, Rabbi Yosef Dov (died on Iyar 1987), served as Rabbi of Spring Valley in New York.


Author of the book 'Divrei Avraham' - one the greatest disciples of the Hatam Sofer. To the book approvals from the greatest of the Admors: the Admor Rabbi Moshe Halberstam of Shinawa, the Admor of Viznitz Rabbi Israel Hagar, Rabbi Yehuda Greenfeld Av Beit Din of Samihali Ba'al 'Kol Yehuda', Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Glick Av Beit Din of Tulcheva Baal "Be'er Yitzhak"  and Responsa 'Yad Yitzhak', and more.


[4], 58 leaves, 24 cm. Tears at the margins of the approvals pages with text damage. The approvals pages are detached. Brown paper. condition moderate- good.
