An oil on canvas painting depicting a Japanese landscape with a sea, boats, beach, two fishermen, and mountains by David Burliuk. Signed and named by the artist at the lower left: Burliuk, Japan. Presented in a wooden frame. Circa the first thirty years of the 20th century.David Burliuk 1882-1967 Russian and American artist and poet from Ukraine, one of the founders of futurism. In 1920 immigrated to Japan and lived there for two years, then moved to America.
