An oil on canvas study of Siberia's conquest by Yermak, the painting by Vasilii Ivanovich Surikov. Unsigned. On the back, there is a vintage sticker with a printed inscription in Russian: VASILY IVANOVICH SURIKOV (1848-1916) / sketch of the painting "ERMAK."Vasilii Ivanovich Surikov (Russian, 1848 - 1916 - master of large-scale historical paintings, academician, and a full member of the Imperial Academy of Arts.
