Circus Bank
Shepard Hardware Buffalo, NY - Circa 1890's Approximately 60% is Expertly Restored (Crank Replaced) The inspiration for the design of this bank stems from America's growing fascination with circus life at the end of the 19th century. When the crank is turned, we watch a clown and his pony circle the sawdust of the center ring. With each turn around the ring, the pony gallops up and down three times. As the cart approaches the penny, the clown raises his arm to push the coin in the slot. His arm snaps back down immediately thereafter.
