Roman Provincial coinage > Syria > Antioch ad Orontes > Seleucis and Pieria > Trajan, AD 98-117: AE ½ Quadrans / Uncia / Chalkous (10 x 9.25mm, 1.05g), Rome mint, for circulation in Syria, struck AD 116; laureate and draped bust right & possible fragment of legend at lower-left / large letters SC within thin wreath with clasp/rosette at top. General references: McAlee 526, Vagi 1266var; GVF, mostly well centered on small flan & well struck with good detail, dark black patina. Scarce.
