Waffen SS M40 Stahlhelm Helmet from Battlefield
A rare ground dug Waffen SS battlefield relic M40 Stahlhelm helmet, constructed of a magnetic molybdenum steel shell. The exterior retains some of its original matte dark green painted finish.
Two protruding rivets are set into the sides of the helmet near the front, with an empty rivet socket also located at the back of the helmet. It is flanked on each side by an integrated ventilation hole.
On the right side, the helmet bears the remnants of an SS decal consisting of a white shield overlaid by dual black Sig runes.
There is human hair embedded in the rusted interior which would indicate an SS soldier fought his last battle in the helmet.
