SAMUEL JONES
(1819-1887) Confederate major general who commanded the Department of Western Virginia, defending the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad and the vital salt mines during the midpoint of the war. Later he commanded the district of South Carolina. His signature cut from a document, 2.5 x 1 in., mounted to an album page. Very good condition.
