GERALD FORD
(1913 - 2006) 38th President of the United States who assumed office upon the resignation of Richard Nixon, who Ford later pardoned for any involvement in the Watergate scandal. Fine signed lithograph depicting the Statue of Liberty on a starry night, 17.5 x 22 in., signed at bottom: 'Gerald R. Ford...38th President of U.S.', also signed by astronomer CLYDE W. TOMBAUGH (1906-1970) who adds his claim to fame: 'Discovered 9th planet, Pluto, on 18th Feb. 1940'. Also signed in pencil by the artist. Near fine.
