JOHN BURROUGHS
(1837 - 1921) American naturalist and author of essays and poems concerning nature and outdoor life. A.L.S., 2pp., 8vo., [n.p.], Dec. 25, 1901, a letter to a 'little girl from India'. In part: 'I certainly have not forgotten you & I am glad you have not forgotten me. And you have remembered me in such a sweet way…I want to thank you for that! As well as for the charming one that came with the card.' Strips of toned tape on the second page, else fine.
