He"n Mazal L'Yisrael - A Handwritten Poem in Honor of Rabbi Moshe Zakut HaLevi on the Occasion of His Becoming a Member of Napoleon's Sanhedrin
A long poem in honor of Rabbi Moshe Zakut HaLevi, Av Beit Din of Alessandria, and Kasali on the occasion of his appointment as the Rabbi of Kasali and to serve as the Jewish representative in Napoleon's Consistoire for the Marengo region.
[7] paper leaves. 12*19cm. Pleasant scribal writing. The first page is the praises of the Rabbi, his father Rabbi Eliyahu and mentions his father's important works which were then in manuscript form (some of them remain in manuscript form in the National Library of Torino), the writer signed his name through a hint at the end of the introduction with the letters T.R.A.Y Simcha.
Rabbi Moshe Zakut Levi (whose initials are MAZA"L) the son and successor of the famous Rabbi Eliyahu HaLevi, Av Beit Din of Alessandria, served as Rabbi there for twenty years until moving to the Rabbinate of Kasali. He was one of the important Italian rabbis of his generation.

Original cover. A few age stains. Slight tear with no lack. Fine condition.
