Hand-painted porcelain mounted soldier figurine of Napoleon's Marshal Drummer of Imperial Guard in blood-red colored uniform astride a horse, with gilded details and four gilded French Imperial eagles at the edges of the rectangular pedestal, made at Scheibe Alsbach manufacturer in Germany.The Imperial Guard, Garde Impériale, was a group of elite soldiers of the French Army under Napoleon's I command acted as his bodyguard and tactical reserve and divided into the battalions and regiments.Scheibe-Alsbach is a former municipality of Thuringia, Germany, now a part of Neuhaus am Rennweg. A porcelain factory built there in 1835, specializing in the Napoleonic period historical figurines.
