Sefer Eitz HaChaim. A Particularly Significant Book on Kabbalah, Including a Dedication from the Holy ‘Ba’al HaSulam’.
 Holy ‘Ba’al HaSulam’ Dedication.
Eitz HaChaim of the Ari HaKadosh zt”l. First edition.
Jerusalem 1927. Printed by Rabbi Shmuel Halevi Zukerman.
Mint condition. In original binding.
The page preceding the cover page includes an important dedication from Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag, known as the ‘Ba’al HaSulam’. One of the Mekubalim giants of the previous generation.
The righteous Rabbi Ashlag, author of ‘The Sulam’ commentary on the Zohar, died 1955. He was a student of Yeshivat Chayei Olam. Rabbi Ahshlag immigrated to Israel in 1922, and lived in Jerusalem and Bnei Brak. His commentary on The Zohar became as widely acknowledged as Rashi on Chumash. Indeed, all further commentaries on The Zohar were inspired by The Ba’al HaSulam.
“There are a great many commentaries from the great Kabbala masters, that explain The Zohar in great depth. They did not, however, succeed in giving the tools to the one studying to comprehend their words… until an opportune moment arrived, and the Ba’al HaSulam toiled to remove the wrapping covering The Zohar, and set up a ladder to climb up in the comprehension of The Zohar.
