Beautiful edition, bound in a beautiful leather binding.
The book Yosifun is a summary of the book by Josephus Flavius. It describes historically the Jewish nation at the time of the Second Temple, and primarily The Great Revolt that occurred in the years 66-70 CE. The identity of editor of the book is unknown. He wrote the book in Latin.

In the beginning of the 16 th century, it was translated into Hebrew and morphed into an important book on Jewish history. It is no wonder that it
was printed in 80 editions by the year 1948.
This copy belonged to Rabbi Shmuel Landa, son of the holy 'Noda
BiYehuda' who was the Rabbi of Prague, city of splendor.
Rabbi Shmuel
inherited his father's books. and is the author of the Sefer 'Shivat Tzion',
printed in Prague in 1827.
The cover page of the Sefer, the 'Porzatch', includes a dedication for the
Bar Mitzva by the late Moreinu Harav Rabbi Shmuel.
Enclosed is a certificate verifying the signature by Moreinu Harav Rabbi
Yeshaya Weiss.
