A Large gilt Torah Finials by Lazarus Posen. Frankfurt Am Main. Circa 1880.
Tall, beautiful set, with genuine gold-plate, classic, delicate design.
Lazarus Posen’s workshop was highly respected for its Judaica production in the 19 th Century. Established in 1869, it was run by Lazarus Posen’s widow.
Jacob Posen, Lazarus’ son, joined the workshop in around 1880.
This pair of finials are hallmarked and dated 1886.
The base of the finials includes an engraving of a dedication “Generously
donated by HaChaver Rabbi Shimon Epstein.”
