Letter of Thanks and Blessings from the Lubavitcher Rebbe – 1956 – "I Recently Received What He Sent… the Comb of Rebbe Rashab, Snuffbox and Kerchief" – "May the Renewal of the Mazal and the Increase in the Blessing from the Creator and Manager of the World Have Their Effect on Day-to-Day Life, with Overt and Manifest Good Both in Material and Spiritual Matters"

Letter from Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneersohn – the Lubavitcher Rebbe, with his hand signature. Brooklyn NY, 25th MarCheshvan 1956.
Typewritten on the official stationery of the rebbe, with his signature and the addition of several words and corrections in his handwriting.
Addressed to R. Shmuel Abba Shapira of Ramat Gan, referred to in the letter as "my mechutan… the G-d fearing man… of holy lineage". In response to the gift he sent the rebbe: "a comb from Rebbe Rashab, a snuffbox and a kerchief". At the beginning of his letter, the rebbe requests that he send him further details about these items, who they belonged to and how they were transmitted.
Further in the letter, the rebbe mentions the Polish adage according to which the final sealing takes place in Kislev, during Chanukah, and blesses him: "May the renewal of the mazal and the increase in the blessing from the Creator and Manager of the world have their effect on day-to-day life, with overt and manifest good both in material and spiritual matters".
At the foot of the letter, after his signature, the rebbe added a blessing for good health: "My hope is that at the time of the reception of this letter, there will already be an improvement and he will inform me of good tidings".
