A TABLE LAMP
A TABLE LAMP Silver metal, France, 19th Century, marked "GAGNEAU", engraved and chiseled decoration with floral motifs. Initially an oil lamp, adapted to electricity. Wear and bruises. Height: 68.5 cm. Note: this maker was a provider to the Portuguese Royal household and lamps like this are still present today in several royal palaces. D. Manuel II, last king of Portugal, had a lamp of this model in his work desk in Fulwell Park (England), where he lived in his exile.
